About
Why this site exists, who writes it, how it is made, and what it does not do.
Why this site
This site grew out of the frustration of one passionate person. Information about BDSM exists, but it is scattered: a forum here, a video there, a blog post copying another blog post, lists with no sources, advice that is sometimes dangerous. Meanwhile, many people are looking, do not know where to start, and end up with anything and everything.
The idea is simple: gather in one place what you need to know to begin and to go further, with clear explanations, sources anyone can check, and tools for talking about it together.
Who writes it
The author of this site stays anonymous, on purpose. In this world, discretion protects everyone: the people who read these pages as much as the person who writes them. Nobody should have to expose their private life to learn, or to share what they know. So the site asks nothing of its readers, and says nothing about its author.
Anonymity does not prevent checking: trust rests not on a name, but on the sources cited on every page.

Who it is for
For adults discovering BDSM, for those who already practise it, and for partners who want to understand. All roles, all genders, all orientations. The site is written in French for French-speaking Switzerland, France, Belgium and Quebec, and translated into English, German and Italian.
How it is written
Every figure, every study and every point of law links to a source: a scientific journal, an institution, a legal text or a recognised practice guide. When a widespread idea has not been demonstrated, the text says so. The sources were checked in October 2026; laws change, and so does research. The chapter on the law covers Switzerland, France, Belgium and Quebec.
The site does not explain any technique for suspension, strangulation, needles or fire. It sets out the risks, the warning signs and where to learn in person. It replaces neither medical advice, nor legal advice, nor a workshop.
What it does not store
There is no account, no cookies, no tracking and no advertising. The fonts and scripts are hosted on the site itself: no page calls a third-party service in the background. The language is chosen from your browser settings, without remembering anything.
The site does count its visits, like a turnstile: each time a page is shown, the server adds 1 to that page’s total for the day. It also notes the country, as the host infers it at the time of the visit, and, if you arrive from another site, that site’s name (a search engine, for example). Nothing else: no IP address, no browser details, no exact time, no identifier, and no measurement script. So there is no way to know who visited, or to link two page views to the same person.
The questionnaires and cards work in your browser. Your answers stay in memory in the tab; if you close it without sending them, they disappear. When you send a link, your answers are compressed and stored after the # sign in the address: that part is never transmitted to the server. The messaging app you paste the link into, however, does see it, like everything you write there. The PDF is made on your device.
The host keeps technical logs, like any host: IP address, page requested, time. The content of your answers never appears in them.
Discretion
The Exit button, at the top of every page, replaces the site with a weather search, with no way of going back. Pressing the Esc key twice in quick succession does the same thing. On a shared device, private browsing keeps the site out of the history.
The illustrations
The paintings on the site are generated by artificial intelligence: studio compositions rendered as contemporary oil paintings. They do not depict any real person and show neither full nudity nor sexual scenes.
The limits of this guide
Research on BDSM often relies on small samples, recruited online or in clubs, mostly in Western Europe and North America. It describes people who are comfortable with the subject better than it describes others. The guide points this out whenever it matters.
