Card game

Card game

Ideas for play, to send each other when you are apart, or to draw together when you are side by side.

Apart, choose a card, adjust the instruction, add a note, then send the link: the other person turns the card over and replies, I accept, I’ll take the variant, I ask for more time, or I decline. Together, draw a card and turn it over on the same screen, or browse them for ideas: an instruction written for a distance can simply be said aloud. You can also write your own card. With the dice cards, chance picks one of six instructions known in advance. Hard cards, the most intense level, assume you have already played together and gone back over your limits.

  • Cards stay within what has been agreed.

Apart or together, they do not replace negotiation: their instructions are read in the light of your limits, those in the Portrait for example.

  • A refusal is a complete answer.

It needs no justification, it is not punished and it is not made up for later.

  • Images stay between you.

A photo sent in return is not forwarded, shown or published: in all four countries covered by the guide, that is an offence.

  • On your own, take even more care.

No ties, nothing involving breathing, and a presence check when the instruction calls for one. The details are in Safety.

112 cards

Pick one or more families, intensities or durations: the draw is made from the cards shown.

Words

Writing, saying, confessing: giving shape to what usually goes unsaid.

The body

Sensations on the skin, felt alone on instruction or received from the other’s hands.

Protocol

Set gestures that remind you, in the middle of the day, who you answer to.

Waiting

Time that stretches, and a ban that holds.

Attire

A detail you wear that no one else can read.

Pleasure

Your pleasure on instruction: when, where, how, and how far.

Toys

What gets prepared, worn and kept on: an object, and how long it stays.

Preparation

Thinking about next time, and making it real already.

Tenderness

Rewarding, caring, thanking: care is part of the game.

Chance

Six faces known in advance, a single roll: the die chooses, you keep the right to say no.

Nothing is stored: the card travels in the link you send, and nowhere else.
