Collar Me
Also called: Collar, Collaring position, presenting for the collar, neck bared
Kneeling, arms raised, hands behind your head lifting your hair: your neck bared to receive a collar.
How to take it
Kneel on a cushion, knees apart, sitting on your heels, back straight. Raise both arms and bring your hands behind your head to lift your hair if you have any, elbows pointing upwards. Your neck is bared. Keep your head high, chin barely raised, eyes ahead of you or towards the other person. You stay like this while the other person fastens the collar, then your hands come back to your thighs.
What it says
Here, nothing is taken: you make room, the other person puts the collar on. Depending on the relationship, the gesture is repeated at every scene or happens only once, when the collar marks a commitment (see Glossary).
Variants
- Head tilted slightly forward, to clear the back of the neck when the collar fastens behind.
- Only one hand lifts the hair, the other stays on your thigh.
- Standing or seated on a chair, hands behind your head and neck bared, when your knees won’t cooperate.
The call“Your neck.”
