Bend over

Also called: Bent over, Braced, leaning forward

Standing, upper body bent forward from the hips, hands braced: a spanking position, negotiated beforehand.

How to take it

Standing, feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent. Bend your upper body forward by folding at the hips, back flat, until it is almost horizontal. Rest your hands on your knees for balance, or on a stable support: the back of a chair, the edge of a bed or of a table. Your neck stays in line with your back, eyes on the floor.

What it says

Along with the over-the-knee position, it is the most frequently cited spanking position (see Glossary). It is taken with your back to the other person, which adds anticipation: you cannot see anything coming. What will follow, with what and how far, is negotiated beforehand, not once you are bent over.

Variants

  • Forearms resting on a table or the edge of a bed, upper body supported: the most stable version.
  • Hands flat on a wall or on the back of a chair, upper body less inclined: gentler on the back and on the head.
