Wall

Also called: Wall position, Against the wall, hands on the wall

Facing the wall, hands flat above your head, feet apart: still, with your back to the other person.

How to take it

Stand facing a bare wall, a long stride away from it. Spread your feet wide, more than shoulder-width, knees soft. Lean towards the wall and place your hands flat on it, above your head, a little wider than your shoulders. Move your hips back so that your weight is shared between your hands and your feet, and let your back arch slightly, without forcing. Your forehead does not touch the wall.

What it says

The wall takes away sight: you hear the other person without seeing anything, and you do not know what is coming. The hands placed on the wall add a simple instruction: do not move any more. Depending on what has been negotiated, it is a waiting position or a position for spanking (see Glossary).

Variants

  • One step closer to the wall, hands at shoulder height, back straight without arching: gentler on the shoulders and the lower back.
  • Forearms against the wall, forehead resting on your forearms.
  • Feet only hip-width apart, for easier balance.

The call“Against the wall.”
